Sabine Pichlau is a photographer and artist with a passion for everything urban. It shows people and moments in context and makes stories behind them visible.
Her works emerge on the street: direct, authentic, with powerful colors and contrasts and a clear composition. It is not about the portrayal of individuals or places, but about the consolidation of universal feelings in the urban environment.
“As a street photographer, I’m looking for people – their faces, random gestures, hidden emotions. At least as important is the city in which I photograph. She is an equal protagonist. It sets the rhythm, the themes, and the imagery I’m getting into. ”
For the LOOKING AT THE STARS project, the Atlanta was spatial space, vivid colors, southern lights, open-minded people and ubiquitous US flags.
Currently, London – narrow streets, deep shadows, wild colors and lights, cultural diversity in the midst of breathless city bustle. The resulting project is LIQUID LONDON – a photographic series that adds a new visual level to classic street photography.
